The Little Dog Laughed
9th January 2010 - Sat, 10th April 2010
Rising film star, Mitchell Green, is every girl's fantasy and soon to become a household name, thanks to his devilish agent Diane, who excels at navigating the choppy waters of Hollywood.
With Mitchell on the brink of superstardom, Diane encounters one teensy weensy obstacle - she can’t seem to stop her leading man from coming out of the closet. With Mitchell spending days and nights with his new 'friend' Alex, and Alex’s beautiful girlfriend Ellen (yes girlfriend!) causing a drama of her own, what lengths will Mitchell go to play the part? And will there be a Hollywood ending when the credits role?
Douglas Carter Beane's Tony award-nominated comedy, hilariously satirizes the superficial world of show-business and the game-playing of the movie industry.
All the Fun of the Fair
17th April to 5th September
All The Fun Of The Fair is a roller coaster ride of a musical, underscored by a helter-skelter of David Essex hits and album favourites. All The Fun Of The Fair, which is inspired by Essex’s debut album, finds the pop and musical theatre star playing fun fair owner Levi Lee, the recently widowed father of a rebellious teenage son. Danger and mysticism lurk in the future, as predicted by the gypsy fortune teller who is in love with Levi.
All The Fun Of The Fair is a moving and contemporary story with a heartbreaking twist, which reaches out to every parent and anyone who has ever been torn in love. It features hits including Winter’s Tale, Gonna Make You A Star, Rock On and the title track. Essex, who wrote All The Fun Of The Fair with Boogie Nights creator Jon Conway, is best known as a pop star, but has musical theatre credits including Godspell, Evita, Mutiny! and Footloose The Musical.
