The Arts Theatre London started in 1927 as a club to avoid censorship. Over the years the theatre became known for new writings including Samuel Beckett and Harold Pinter premieres. The theatre has also been home to the Royal Shakespeare's Company and the Unicorn Children theatre over the years. The theatre has recently had a 1/4 million pound refurbishment.


Saturday Night

This is the first UK revival of Stephen Sondheim’s very first musical, and the UK premiere of his revised score. Set immediately before the Wall Street Crash in 1929 New York, it tells of the adventures of social climber Gene Gorman (David Ricardo-Pearce) and Helen Fogel (Helena Blackman).
