is a selection of events going on in the capital throughout January.
London Parade -
020 8566 8586 This event takes place on the first
day of the year and gets bigger and better every year. Floats from all over the
world including the USA take part, the parade also includes clowns, dance displays,
marching bands and horse-drawn carriages. The parade starts in Parliament Square
at noon and ends at Berkeley Square.
Chinese
New Year - 020 7439 3822 Chinese
New Year gets bigger and better every year with the whole of Chine Town taken
over with stalls selling everything you could imagine from the far east. The paper
dragons and the fire cracker processions are loud and lots fun.

International Mime Festival - 020 7637 5661 Artists from all over the world come to London to take
part in this festival. But it is not just a man in a box anymore but all types
of physical theatre including acrobatics, circus skills and puppetry. The festival
takes place over two weeks at the end of January.

International Boat show -

place every year at London's Earl's Court, the boat show gets bigger and better
every year. You can find everything you need at the show including boats, equipment
and holidays but if you do not want to buy anything it is still worth a trip to
see some of the most expensive boats in the world.
