From all over London pearly Kings and Queens get together to celebrate the Harvest Festival. They parade through London to St Martin-in-the-Fields church where they have a service of celebration.

Punch & Judy Festival - 020 7836 9136
With the first Sunday of October see Covent Garden come to life to cries of 'that's the way to do it' and 'behind you' as Punch and Judy take over the Piazza. It is a great day out for children and grownups alike.
State Opening of Parliament - 020 7219 4272
Parliament is reopened after the summer break in October by the Queen with great pomp and ceremony. The Queen wears her crown and rides down to Parliament from Buckingham Palace in a lavish coach. The ceremony offers the best opportunity to see the royal family.
