Open to the public in July 1962 the Queen's Gallery is a permanent space dedicated to changing exhibitions from the Royal Collection. The Royal Collection consists of a wide range of paintings, sculpture and other works of art as well as a glittering array of priceless treasure held in trust for the National by Her Majesty the Queen. The gallery was extensavaly remodelled in 1998 and holds many first time exhibitions.
