Is
London expensive?
It does not have to be,
if for example you buy a London Pass you will save money
on entrance into many London attractions and places
of interest. See our London Pass page for more info:
main_londonpass.htm
Stay
a little outside the center of London, and
visit out of season and you can find some good deals,
see our hotels section for some cheap accommodation:
main_hotels.htm
It
is also advisable to buy a guide book before you come,
so that you can decide what you want to see and then
you can bring it with you and use it as reference when
you are here. For the books we in the office have found
most helpful click on this link: main_amazonguides.htm
Would I have to book
in advance to see one of the top ten theatre productions?
In
order to avoid disappointment, I
would recommend that you book tickets in advance for
any show that you really want to see. Especially in
the
summer you would be very lucky to get tickets for any
of the top shows on the day. You
can book tickets online before you come through our
theatre section: main_londontheatre.htm
What
is the best time of year to visit London?
The best time of the year to visit London is the summer,
because of the weather. However, London is vibrant all
year round, whatever the weather, and there are good
reasons for coming out of season, for example it is
far less crowded (just a bit!).
What
is the best way to travel around London?
Getting around London is surprisingly easy! For short
journeys the bus is the best way to travel, it's cheap,
you can hop on and off the back loading buses and there
is a bus route for every destination. However, in the
rush hour and for longer journeys it is best to travel
on the underground, because it is quicker and the trains
run more frequently. The bus and tube system can be
confusing to start with but you soon get used to it
and remember if you do get lost you might come across
something that you might not have found otherwise!
See our travel page for
further details.
Can
you easily access the web in London?
You can access the web
all around London in numerous Internet cafe's, but make
sure that you shop around because prices very.
