Housed in the
Bank of England itself the museum shows the history of the
Bank from 1694 when it was founded by the Royal Charter. It
offers a unique insight into of the history of London's currency.
Including a gold bar dating from ancient times, coins and
a one of the kind collection of bank notes, as well as other
items uncovered when the bank was rebuilt in the 1930's such
as Roman pottery and mosaics.
