Opened in 1956 the museum was named after Benjamin Pollock the last Victorian Toy Theatre printer in London. Benjamin had massed a large collection of toy theatre memorable and toys that now make up the museums content. Teddy bears, wax and china dolls, board games, puppets and doll’s houses all make up the collection. The museum moved to Scala Street just off Tottenham Court Road in 1969 when it out grew its Covent Garden shop. It is now run by the grandson of the founder Marguerite Fawdry. This museum is one off the most loved in London and is filled in every corner with curiosities and suppresses.
