Southwark Cathedral was built between 1220 and 1420 and lies on the south bank of the Thames. The Cathedral had many famous patrons including William Shakespeare and John Harvard the founder of the American university. The Cathedral has under gone major regeneration for the millennium and now has a new exhibition "The Long View of London" which traces the history of Southwark through the centuries and offers unbeatable views of London through 360 degree's.
