Built after the Great Fire of London St Paul's Cathedral is perhaps one of Sir
Christopher Wren's finest buildings, completed in 1710 it took 40 years to complete.
Wren's masterpiece is the soaring dome, which offers outstanding panoramic views
across London, and is home to the famous Whispering Gallery. A circular gallery
that carries sound around it, if someone stands on the opposite side they will
be able to hear you whisper clearly after a few seconds'.
The cathedral also houses a large collection
of treasures including effigies that pre-date the Great Fire, and around 300 monuments
and burial sites, including the tomb of Wren himself.
