Pain, horror,
death! All are on show at the London Dungeon, and the punters
love it. What is it about the human condition that attracts
us to this dark side of our existence? Who knows, but this
attraction sees visitors from around the world. Amid the dark,
dank festering maze that is the dungeon you will be taken
through scenes of torture, judged in the mock courtroom, and
chased by Jack the Ripper.
The live actors
and impressive special effects make sure that the exhibits
have an unnerving way of coming back to life when you least
expect it. The Dungeon also features the terrifying mirror
maze 'Labyrinth of the Lost' and also the 'Traitor Boat Ride
to Hell', which takes visitors on a spine-tingling voyage
into the depths of the Dungeon, based on the final trip to
traitor's gate taken by those condemned to die at the Tower
of London. Also see Sweeney Todd,
an interactive show based on the exploits of the notorious
demon barber of Fleet Street with more than a few nasty surprises…!
