Althorp has been the Spencer
home for the past 500 years and is one of the greatest country homes in England.
The house has a fine interior with wonderful pictures by Rubens, Van Dyck, Reynolds
and Gainsborough. In the stables you will find an exhibition celebrating the life
of Diana Princess of Wales. Outside the house in the extensive gardens you will
find the Round Oval, an ornamental lake, and see the island where Diana, Princess
of Wales, was laid to rest. Entrance
