Tudor house was built in the 16 century but after a while was left to fall into
disrepair. Then In 1930 Vita Sackville-West and her husband Harold Nicolson took
over what was left of the building, over the years they lovingly restored the
house and the gardens. Sissinghurst Castle is now world celebrated for its gardens
that each have their own colour scheme and not to be missed any time of the year.
With rare, medicinal and aromatic plants in some section and rough orchards, rose
garden and woodlands making up the other section there is something for everyone.
