The
York Dungeon
12 Clifford's Street
York
YO1 9RD
The York Dungeon is a sister
attraction to the famous London Dungeon with a mix of live
actors, interactive shows and special effects bringing the
darkest chapters in history vividly to life. See how the vicious
Vikings dealt with those who crossed them, hear the story
of infamous highwayman Dick Turpin as he vividly recounts
his adventures before throwing himself from the gallows to
meet his death. Remember the 5th of November as the events
of the gunpowder plot and the fate of Guy Fawkes are brought
vividly back to life and enter the lair of demon vampires
with only one thing on their mind
!
You are even dragged in front
of a terrifying 17th Century Judge who has nasty habit of
picking on visitors, with guilt or lack of it being only a
very minor consideration! What is certain is that you will
end up in the torture chamber where a mischievous torturer
is itching for volunteers on which to demonstrate
his unique range of skills
New for 2006
at York Dungeon sees the addition of a mirror maze, Yorks
Labyrinth of the Lost, themed on the cloying catacombs of
the ancient fortress home to the Lost Roman Legion
