Morecambe, an award-winning solo show in which Bob Golding plays the late comedian Eric Morecambe, will play the West End's Duchess Theatre for a six-week engagement, starting on Deccember 9. The show is written by Tim Whitnall and directed by Guy Masterson. Morecambe, who had a popular comedy double act with Ernie Wise, passed away 25 years ago. The pair's 1970s TV series, The Morecambe and Wise Show, attracted big-name celebrity guests, including Cliff Richard, prime minister Harold Wilson, and Princess Anne.
