The Brixton Academy is one of
Britain's best known venues and has Europe biggest fixed stage. It holds up to
4300 people and has an entertainment license until 6am which makes it popular
with many acts including David Bowie, Catatonia, Massive Attack, Spin Doctors,
Happy Mondays, Sterophonics and The Beastie Boys. Brixton Academy was built in
1929 and has some great art deco features this has helped it become a venue for
film launches, comedy shows as well as weddings. Forthcoming events include -

The Darkness, Moloko, Good Charlotte, Damien Rice and Elbow.
