In 1940s New York, Florence Foster-Jenkins was a delightful diva who was dubbed the world’s worst singer. An enthusiastic soprano whose pitch was far from perfect, she was the performer that everyone demanded to see live. The play is spun from Florence’s charity recitals and extravagant balls, through to her bizarre recording sessions and an ultimate concert at Carnegie Hall. Starring Maureen Lipman.
