is Unwell is based on Jeffrey Bernard's life and works. Amongst
other things he was a womaniser, four times married, heavy
drinker, Soho hellraiser and a journalist for the New Statesman.
Hilarious anecdotes and witty reminiscences this is a play
about stylish self–destruction. Jeffrey Bernard was originally
played Peter O’Toole and will be played by Tom Conti
at the Garrick.
