History The
original New Theatre was built in 1868 and had a very successful run. In 1933
the theatre was demolished in order to make way for the most luxurious and comfortable
theatre in England. In 1977 Paul Gregg bought the theatre and renamed it "The
Apollo". After a major refurbishment in 2003 the theatre re-lanuched with
its original name. Productions
