4DN Tom Courtenay will return
to the Comedy Theatre in May, when he transfers with Brian Friel’s The Home
Place. Set in 1878 at the beginning of Home Rule, Courtenay plays widowed father
Christopher Gore, who lives with his son David in Ballybeg. Though they are both
in love with their housekeeper, their way of life only becomes threatened when
Christopher’s cousin arrives from England.
