In a basement flat in Notting Hill, Susy (Saskia Wickham), who is blind, is alone while her husband is away on business. Three con-men led by the mysterious Roat (Peter Bowles) break in to retrieve a doll containing heroin which her husband (Robert Fitch) has unwittingly brought through customs. This classic thriller, with its nail-biting climax, was originally presented on Broadway in 1966. It was subsequently presented in London starring Honor Blackman where it ran for 2 years. The film version (1968) starred Audrey Hepburn as Susy, for which she was nominated for an Oscar. Frederick Knott also wrote Dial M For Murder, which has been presented all over the world and was made into a film by Alfred Hitchcock.
