Gillian Anderson, best known for her role as Scully in TV's The X-Files, is the latest star to tread the boards in the West End. Anderson plays Melinda Metz, a married woman who reunites with an ex-lover many years later. The play examines attitudes towards modern marriage and infidelity. Her co-star will be Roger Allam who played Javert in the original RSC production of Les Miserables - he has also taken the title roles in the RSC productions of Macbeth and Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde.
