Relaxing amidst the sunshine of a seaside
holiday, the enlightened Mrs Lanfrey Clandon and her three
unconventional children celebrate their return to England
after eighteen years of living abroad. However, a chance encounter
with the staunchly traditional father they had previously
abandoned entangles them in a series of wonderfully comic
events. Add into the equation an impoverished dentist, an
eminent QC and a seemingly all-knowing waiter and an irresistible
evening of laughter, wit and romance is assured.
